Lemons
A Sunday Sparklies Poem
When life gives you lemons They say make your lemonade Without ever even stopping To ask if you’re ok But bitter bites your tongue And the seeds suck up your straw The chunky pulp is gross And the sour zings your jaw So here’s another option: You can shout and you can cry You can stomp them on the ground Asking, “Why, Universe, why?!” You can skip the silver lining You can wallow in the storm You don’t have to make it right You can let your anger form But the funny thing ‘bout lemons Once they crash into your day Despite every mood and feeling Lemonade’s made either way

*don't
I like your take on this subject, Jenn. This platitude has always irritated me. We dint always have to make a positive out of a negative - at least, not immediately. A little ranting and raving can be very healthy!
